Teepee Open Weekend - Hobbit Hill March 2018

Our open weekend was located at the fabulous Hobbit Hill! This is a fantastic site for a teepee party with toilets, power, water and beautiful wooden sleeping pods!

The breath-taking views which overlook Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley are stunning!

The partnership of Hobbit Hill and Teepee Tent Hire brings a fabulous all in package whether it be a wedding, party or anniversary and corporate event! With a great venue inside the teepee's overlooking the views from Hobbit Hill, you can eat, drink, party and sleep all from the same place!

Don't think you'll be slumming it either, with the truly glamorous AND heated wooden GLAMPing pods, you'll be able to give those party feet a comfortable and well deserving rest!

On Saturday, it kicked off with murky and gloomy weather. However, in true Teepee Tent Hire style we never let the rain get in the way. With smiles at the ready we welcomed everyone into our teepee’s. As the rain came down we could show just how fabulous the teepee's were even on a cold and horrible day. We were the sunshine on top of the hill!

We had 4 Giant Tipis on show with windows overlooking the Rabble Valley views. As you walked in to our teepee's you were greeted by ourselves at our *NEW* circular wooden round bar, which is 4m in diameter and the perfect centre piece for that wow factor when catering for a large number of guests! As there is nothing worse than the feeling of queuing to get to the front of the bar, instead you can wait around the edge of the huge 4m bar and always be at the front, to get your drink order in!

We had James from 'Absolute Hog Roast' and 'The Atrium' serving rustic stone baked pizza's as well as pulled pork and other delights from the catering tent. The aroma from the catering tent loured everyone over to try one of the freshly stone baked pizza's!

With happy guests with full tummies toured around the teepee’s finding beautiful Blossom Tree's by CST hidden around every corner, the magical feeling of how their special day could be was becoming a reality!

In one of the giant teepee's we showcased the different furniture and seating options available to hire.

We had 3 rows of our bespoke, handmade wooden tables and a 6ft round table with Chiavari Limewash Chairs seating 10-12 people at the back.

The tables were styled with fresh flowers by ‘Flower Design’ who have provided flowers for our previous weddings.

Unfortunately, due to it being one of the busiest weekends of the year for them, they were unable to be there in person to talk to, but you could admire the quality of their work and the variety of styles they are able to create with the styling and flowers. My personal favourite was the table and benches! We had reindeer skins on the benches and the English country shooting look that Flower Design went for looked FAB! Just the detail of pheasant tails, tweed and how they used empty shot gun cartridges tied together with twine for candle holders was just stunning and looked great with the teepee’s being in the countryside!

As the weather improved for Sunday 11th March on Mothering Sunday, we could appreciate the views by going through our rustic wooden doors and sitting on the picnic benches with a beer or glass of bubbly in one hand by the Laura and The Hobbit Bar and a delicious pot of Mrs Dowson’s ice cream in the other provided by Gary at Rainbow Treats Trike!

We had the chefs Dimitri and Matt from “Cheek & Tongue” catering, who were serving delicious tasters to everyone. From fillet of beef, lamb and arancini, there wasn’t a single person who was left NOT wanting more!

The ambience and vibe throughout the teepee was electric with Sophie and Matt from “The Distance” playing a variety of tunes that are sure to get any age wanting to bust a move on the dance floor! From new tunes to the classic “Do you remember this tune”. There isn’t a song that Sophie and Matt can’t play from their collection of acoustic instruments!

We also had Kate from K designs showcasing her intricate and detailed stationary. Creating a bespoke collection of wedding stationary to suit whatever style and look you’re going for, for your wedding.

Lauren from LDK Photography was showcasing her wedding photography skills even on the day, snapping images around the teepee of the deco and supplier stands. Being a part of Teepee Tent Hire’s team she was taking information from people walking through the door looking for their dream teepee wedding! Lauren can turn her hand to anything being a true Multitasker, however her passion lies with photography.
